Crisis Response
Employers have been forced to implement crisis response plans to facilitate recovery for affected employees. Following incidents of workplace tragedy such as robberies, violence, serious injury accidents, and employee death, traumatized employees experience a very predictable set of symptoms that impair their functioning both at work and in the community. Besides the obvious human loss, employers face significantly increased exposure to financial loss through litigation, workers compensation claims, employee attrition, absenteeism, reduced productivity, and negative community image. Contact Lifestyle Management immediately following workplace tragedy because application of effective "psychological first aid" has been found to mitigate the impact of traumatic stress and facilitate individual and organizational recovery. Use of crisis response interventions promotes employees' return-to-work and return-to-life efforts and helps them "get better faster and get better better".
The EAP Lifestyle Management Crisis Management Team is ready to respond at a moment's notice, nationwide, should trauma impact your workplace.
