Crisis Management
Depressed Workers - Office workers who are depressed are more likely to call in sick and miss work. Employees suffering symptoms of depression are less productive when they are at work. Researchers have noted that among depressed workers, those who had complaints with their healthcare provider were 34% more likely to have continued symptoms of depression and 66% more likely to have decreased work effectiveness two years later. (American Journal of Psychiatry 2001; 158)
